Presently, the Weyburn Police Service has an authorized force of 21 officers. 4 Sergeants, 1 Detective, 13 Constables, 1 Community Safety Officer, the Deputy Chief and the Chief of Police make up the Service. Sworn members come from varied educational backgrounds, many with post-secondary studies. Several officers have received specialized training in investigative techniques and procedures, specialized technician appointments and designations, and certification as provincial instructors for firearms, self-defense and other various training. All sworn members have graduated from the Saskatchewan Police College or another recognized Police Training Academy.
